History: The Clarendon Arms trailer park was never what most folks would describe as pleasant, safe, or even livable. But as the sadistic matron known as ‘Mother’ slowly populated the small community with her cruel, inbred brood, it was transformed into a womb of pure evil.

Nobody knew where Mother came from, but around 30 years ago, she rambled into the court in a shit box pick up truck, a mountain of junk lashed to the back. Surly and private, she moved into the double-wide trailer at the end of the lane. Mother kept to herself in the beginning, adorning her filthy porch with odd bone fetishes and broken furniture that kept most neighbors away.

Then one day her son appeared. A boy of about 10 years old, the neighbors didn't recall him arriving, but one day there he was, giggling and digging holes in the hard ground with his bare hands. The seemingly nameless boy always wore a pair of dark sunglasses, although one neighbor claimed that they saw him take them off, and instead of eyes he had rough-carved wooden balls where his eyes should have been. Not long after, that neighbor’s trailer mysteriously caught fire while they were inside.

Over the next few years more tenants moved out of Clarendon Arms or simply disappeared, and each time another of Mother’s children would arrive to move into their space. Within five years of her arrival, the entire trailer park belonged to Mother's family. They built a ramshackle fence around the perimeter and now it stands as an impenetrable fortress of filth and darkness.

The story that circulates about the horrible compound is that Mother was an immortal forest witch who was forced out of her natural habitat by invasive logging. Mother’s Arms, as the park has come to be known, is simply her way of reinventing herself for the modern world. Most believe that her violent, squawking family are actually demonic entities which she’s birthed into the material plane. Only one of her brood, her first son with the wooden eyes now grown into a beautiful adult, ever leaves the compound. Mother's favorite son has often been seen returning with a naïve young lover on his arm. Though these outsiders are never seen leaving.

Mother has turned the trailer court into an infernal playground where her spawn practice their cruelties and ready themselves to be released into the wider world. Mother’s Arms is a vile womb for her revenge on the future that destroyed her magical home.
