Age: Two Millennia
Hidden or Lost: Forbidden

History: Long since overgrown and swallowed by the surrounding jungle, most think that the towering barrel at the center of the Planar Cannon Exclusion Zone is just a verdant hill. However, the thick jungle foliage hides one of the most devastating weapons in any existence.
The Planar Cannon was originally created by a long, dead civilization of genius goblin tinkerers. In their time they worshiped a paranoid god who was so fearful of their divine wisdom being stolen and their power usurped that they tasked their subjects with creating a weapon capable of striking their enemies not just in their own plane, but across the multiverse. The task became a religious crusade for the goblins, who devoted their resources, magicks, bodies, and souls to the endeavor. After centuries of research and at the cost of their entire civilization, the cannon was finished.
Upon its completion, Uzum Brassrender, the last of the goblins, looked out over the desolation the task had created. Then he fired the cannon for the first and only time. Betraying the orders of his god, Brassrender turned the cannon on the deity itself, eradicating it from every existence. However the blast also cut a tear through multiple realities in the process, almost causing the collapse of existence itself. The calamity caught the attention of a being of pure order, an archon that descended to material form to guard the weapon and the tear in reality from ever being used again.
For many centuries, power-hungry warmongers tried to retake the cannon, but all were stopped by the archon, and the cannon faded into legend. Millennia later, the area is a forbidden zone. The locals fear the power that emanates from the green mountain and the haunted temples that surround it, which are now used as refuges for planar parasites and chaos beings that would use the cannon to bring reality to its knees. Luckily the wise, immortal Uzum and the powerful archon still hold them at bay.
There is power hidden within the Planar Cannon Exclusion Zone, but also unimaginable destruction.
