Hidden or Lost?: Hidden

History: Many are the vainglorious heroes who perform miraculous deeds with glistening weapons of righteousness and light. The type of arms that are imbued with powerful magics that make blood dance off of their razor sharp edge or armors that blind the battlefield with their untarnished filigree. But true warriors know that it is the crude and brutal work of the mysterious Slagsmith that one must never test.
The tall, ever-shrouded workman known as the Slagsmith swims in legend. It is said that he was once a prince among the ever-proud light elves, a royal who grew fed up with the way his kin looked down on other species as lesser. When he began to stand up for those other than the light elves, he was labeled a traitor and cast down from the heavenly home of his people. But he did not go quietly.
Gathering up a band of outcast humans, goblins, nymphs, merfolk, and more, he went to war with his former brothers and sisters. The prince’s rebellion was short-lived however, and he was pressed back to the molten caverns of Landsrag Mountain.
During a pitched final battle with his father, the light elf king, the prince was nearly struck down, saved only as he pierced the old ruler with a sharp piece of cooled magma. The natural blade effortlessly pierced the elder elf’s hexes, leaving him gravely wounded. The king escaped, and the prince fled further into the mountain.
Even in survival, the prince was filled with resentment and rage, so he made a deal with the mountain. If it should keep him and his hatred alive, he would devote eternity to creating terrible weapons and armor from the Landsrag slag, arms which could be sent out into the world, spreading their mutual rage across the land. The spirit of the mountain gave its approval, and the Slagsmith’s Forge was born within those jagged stone halls.
Whether all of the details are true, that grim network of fiery caverns hiding up the side of a treacherous Landsrag crag, continues to produce brutal armaments made of rough black slag iron. Imbued with corruption and poisons, the Slagsmith’s creations have become some of the most shunned and feared armaments in the world. His work is helped along by the mountain’s resident fire moles and magma imps, and the Slagsmith works tirelessly get his terrible work into the hands of the most ferocious fighters.
Most believe that the Slagsmith dreams of the day his weapons are brought to bear against his former kin, whose beloved magics won't stand a chance against the rage of the slag.
