Hidden or Lost?: Hidden

History: War never ends. In every land from sea to sea war has shaped the world, its powers, in ways that none could have foreseen. But in every conflict, when all the fighting is over, all that’s left behind are deadly munitions and weapons that continue to threaten those who remain. And that is where the Warbreaker thrives.

The Warbreaker’s Yard is a junkyard where disused engines of war are broken down for parts and where some say deadly new weapons are being born. Located in the far coastal waste, safe from civilization, interlopers, or prying eyes. The yard is overseen by former soldier Effen Gault, who, after working for most of their life as a soldier of fortune, developed a thirst for combat that soured their very blood. Following a desperate desire to pay penance for the lives they’d taken, Gault began traveling to war zones all over the world, brokering peace.

Gault was so successful that they came to be known as the ‘Warbreaker.’ As the trail of siege engines, bombs, and weaponry left their wake began to grow, Gault realized that his peace was not enough. Gault purchased a remote shipbreaking yard, and began transferring as much weaponry as they could capture to the site. Massive cannon barrels, advanced rolling battle platforms, deadly chemical mines and blades of every size and configuration were moved to the site. And as the weapons of war in the yard grew, so did the Warbreaker’s old hunger.

As a dalliance Gault began to tinker with the scraps of old weapons, realizing that with the deadly innovations of multiple armies they could create terrible new weapons which could act as a deterrence to prevent future wars. For decades, Gault created a fierce, fearful arsenal of weapons the world had never seen, drawing to his side an army of peacekeepers the Pax Destructa, who began a cultish devotion to Gault’s mission.

The Warbreaker’s Yard stands as a ramshackle fortress made from the scraps of old battles and within its walls Gault and his army continue to welcome the world’s deadly leftovers while building the weapons that may lead to the final war.
